Geography

The other day Oliver asked me to take a geography quiz he’d made up. See below.

After looking over that, you may not be surprised to what I’m going to say next.

This past week, Oliver took part in his school’s geography bee. He said he was excited for the challenge! We watched the whole thing and I think I was more nervous than he.
There were lots of smart kids and it was a good competition. It started with 11, then went down to 7, then 4, 2 and 1. He ended up taking 1st place and it was so fun to watch. Way to go Olls!

Ian came along to watch too and he said it was a little long. Haha!

Prepping for the film fest

It’s that time again. Time to prep for the upcoming Johnson Film Fest. At one point last week, Jess and I discussed not having an entry because we didn’t have an idea and our kids had some stop motion entries to include. However, I just couldn’t let it happen. I had to make a film and we had to have those memories! So we’ve rallied, filmed, and edited and hopefully, in 10 years time, we’ll look back and say, “I’m glad we did that!”

Sleep

You know that transition time where your kid is ready to give up naps but really he’s not ready to give up naps? It’s here now and we are deep into it.

Onto 2020!

I love this group and was grateful to celebrate Christmas and the life of Jesus Christ, who went about doing good. May we strive to do so now and into 2020!
